vCards have quietly been part of personal promoting for many years now. The way they work is simple: An individual can attach a vCard to their email signature and have their contacts download all of their contact information to their outlook accounts. This is a simple, clean and powerful way to exchange information as an upgrade to primitive pen writing (Which started as an upgrade to cavemen drawing pictures on the cave wall). Now we live in a mobile world with the ability to hand off our contact information on the go. Why shouldn’t we take advantage?
A powerful strategy is emerging that transforms a simple vCard into one on steroids. Using mobile we can take the concept of vCard to the next level and include all relative information about the individual including social media accounts, company information, downloadable brochures, product images, business experience, etc on a physical business card. “How do I squeeze all that information onto my business card?” asks the non creative thinker… by using the QR codes that many people believe will never stand on its own two feet. A user simply scans the target contacts business card and they are immediately brought to a mobile friendly page that displays all of the contacts information with the additional info that was mentioned above. The seamless process is easy and the individual with the QR code business card looks like he is from a far advanced race of super geniuses.
